Posted - 10/13/2009 : 4:19:04 PM I saw somewhere, and didn't bookmark or copy. (No I am not sure why I was so remiss)
It is a simple lace bookmark. I could have sworn it was in Piecework magazine, but I checked all our library's back issues. It was very pretty & would be a great gift for my reader friends. I already checked ravelry. No luck.
Thanks!
Janet

Posted - 10/14/2009 : 06:41:39 AM I just make larger bookmarks....lol I use either a 10 or a 20 crochet cotton, nothing smaller. Even though standard sewing thread is listed as 50, it is a different sizing method than crochet cotton so the two cannot be compared that way.

Posted - 10/14/2009 : 06:09:09 AM Laxmom, I used to belong to a very nice bookmark group on Yahoo. You might like it. The lady who organized it is called Rayann. Fran, thanks for the link to the bookmark patterns, they will come in very handy around this season! Warmly, Chayah

Posted - 10/14/2009 : 03:09:04 AM Thanks for you help.
I found one that is similar to what I was looking for, and it calls for sewing thread and a microscopic crochet hook... Which has me a tad concerned. (Will I need new glasses? )

The top one looks like the one I saw.

Posted - 10/14/2009 : 03:05:21 AM There are a lot of free patterns on the web. Look at lace patterns also. Any lace insertion makes a nice bookmark and/or you can use any edging just by making two strips of it joined in the center.
This is one ofmy favorites
