Hello there,

I am new to this forum and trying to promote the art of machine knitting, accordingly I have launched a website museum that catalogues my large collection of knitting machines and accessories, it has loads of pics - with machines ranging from the Simpleframe up to the Passap E6000. I love knitting machines of all kinds and have been collecting over 20 years. Some of the machines you may not have heard of such as the Pine Star, Golden Fleece or Turmix Unic. Each machine is acccompanied by lots of photos and my own personal notes and observations. If you are interested in machine knitting please take a look, and I would love to hear your constructive criticism. All is changeable. By the way, why is machine knitting bottom of the website.

Sorry I have not been on this site for a while - think I got it mixed up with the Ravelry site - thanks for the compliments re the museum and if you are in Brittany anytime, please feel free to look me up - funny you come from the USA to visit your son here in Brittany and my son has just left after his visit from Australia - the distances don't feel real...

I think your museum is wonderful, and I come to Brittany occasionally to visit my son, so maybe I could find your place!

PS, Maybe the machine knitting is at the bottom, because machines are heavier than needles. ? ;)

When my mum died I inherited all her machines, including her very first one. It's a Singer (Knitmaster) 666 with ribber and still has all the bits. The ribber on this machine didn't attach to the main bed but was pushed across in a separate action. It had a pair of dials to select the pattern and a set of cards with instructions for the various stitches it could do.

I live in Adelaide, South Australia so if anyone wants it (free) for their collection let me know because I don't want it sitting on a cupboard gathering rust and dust.
