I would love to hear about your felting experience with South West Trading Companies Karaoke yarn. I just completed an entrelac bag and felted it, I've never had results like this before. I am an experienced felted and can't imagine how they can claim this yarn felts (as indicated on the label) The bag felted in height and NOT in width. The I cord straps grew in length. Also the amount of fuzz and lint left in the washer is amazing. I would think the amount is equal to an entire skein of yarn.

I'd love to hear about your experience with felting this yarn.

hmm, interesting. I did a bag that I felted and the only thing I found was that I should have agitated it through 1 more cycle than the Cascade (I did 2 bags at the same time).

Since I didn't it had still had some stitch definition rather than none.

Mine did felt both ways, but more in height than width. It wasn't any fuzzier (meaning lint in the washer) than any of the other yarns I've worked with.

The soy does change the composition somewhat, but not that much.

Debbie--I know it is not what you expected but it is a good looking bag. Bags that are that shape are popular now (sort of the baguette look!).

I thought your bag was definitely NOT a disaster, the colors and shape are very nice - not the same shape as a booga but not all yarns shape the same way.

Did you do a swatch test before making the bag?
