I am quite excited as I tried spinning with a spindle last night. I found it frustratng when spinning with a spindle that 'won't go', but when the 'right' spindle was in my hands I was up and unning. It was exhilarating to feel like I could learn something in one night. You can see the results on my latest post in my blog (28 July 05)

It looked fairly even, and it was funny as it has taken me over 7 months to learn to spin fairly evenly on my wheel and I still have a long way to go and in one night, with a spindle, I am nearly up to where I am on the wheel. I guess once I try plyng, that will be my undoing as that is my main problem when wheel spinning. Pling and I don't get along.

Aw. Plying comes with a little practice.. sometimes a lot of practice. hehe. You will get it I promise! I love my spindles. Glad you are doing so well Celia. I must go see the spinnings on your blog now.. Hugs!

Plying takes a little more concentration in the beginning, but it's easier than spinning once it 'clicks'. Just keep plugging (plying?) away!
