Does anyone have a trick for a beginner on how to hold a crochet hook or wrap yarn around the hook to keep even gauge? I hadn't noticed that my gauge was uneven because I started with things in the round or in spiral but I took a class where we swatched a rectangle and noticed that the rows were uneven.
Hmmm, that's seems kind of hard to do, but as it's happening, I would check your yarn carry. Hopefully it's in the left hand, and so the trick there is to allow the hook to take only what it needs.
HTH!
