Hunter Hammersen, author of Silk Road Socks, just released the Knitter's Curiosity Cabinet. It's a beautiful book based on 10 botanical prints. Each botanical print inspired two patterns (one pair of socks and one accessory) knitted with gorgeous semi-solid yarns.

I had pre-ordered the book so I received the electronic copy last week (the hardcopy will ship out soon). For those of us with large stashes of solid yarns, this is a great source of inspiration.

Sounds like an interesting book, minh. Can you order it from a regular bookstore?

Love botanicals; these are really pretty patterns. I especially like Nain and Mashad. Thanks, Minh!

Ooops, I got confused between Curiosity Cabinet and Silk Road Socks. It's the Silk Road Socks that has the beautiful Nain and Mashad patterns. (I was kind of wondering where the botanicals came in...) This makes much more sense. I lean toward the Narcissus and the Polypodium, but this is beautiful stuff, the kind of stuff that made me want to learn to knit in the first place. Thanks for sharing, Minh.
