Two knitters are sitting on a park bench.

One sighs, "I had to frog my Clapotis yesterday." The other one gasps and asks, "Didn't you swatch it first?"

A stranger sitting next to them is totally baffled. What language are these people speaking?

They're talking knittish, of course! And this week I review two books that shed more light on the language we knitters speak.
