Knitter's Review
February 23, 2012
a tulip falls on cashmere and silk

My favorite knitting tool sits in the kitchen right on top of my microwave. I use it when baking bread and making caramels, and I always pull it out when I'm working with leftover skeins of yarn. Can you guess what it is?

This Weekend in California
Stitches West is coming to the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California from February 23rd to the 26th. Have you registered for classes yet? There's still room to learn from the likes of Marlaina Bird, Beth Brown-Reinsel, Edie Eckman, and Susanna Hansson. As always, the massive Stitches marketplace will be open from Friday to Sunday.

In the Forums: Purl Through Back Loops?
The SSK mirrors the K2tog, but what about when you're purling? Jan is working mirrored decreases and the pattern says to purl two stitches together through the back loops. She doesn't like how it feels or looks. What should she do?
