Pony Pearls Single-Pointed Needles

Manufacturer Pony Material Natural wood-based plastic; sizes US 0-8 have steel reinforcement in core. Notes The first thing you'll notice about these needles is their bright, trendy colors. They are made of cellulose acetate, a wood-based plastic that feels warm to the touch and has a moderate amount of flex. Sizes US 0-8 are reinforced with steel rods in their cores, which produce a potentially distracting rattle sound. They have a short taper and fairly blunt tip. "My favourite needles are Rhodo-Cristal by Nacre - these were made in France. These are similar to the Pony Pearl needles. I bought the ones I have many years ago. After much trouble searching for a place to buy new ones I discovered that the firm had been sold to the Pony Pearl company in India and they no longer make the double pointed needles." dapplebee, 4/16/01
