About Us The Knitter's Review Boutique, launched in August 2002, is a retail extension of Knitter's Review, the online magazine for knitting and fiber enthusiasts. Both are based in Blue Hill, Maine. We believe that the love of knitting extends beyond yarn and needles. It embodies a desire to surround ourselves with rich colors and textures. Toward this end, our mission is to provide beautiful, high-quality, and occasionally whimsical items to satisfy the aesthetic cravings of knitters everywhere. Our core product is KR Cards, an exclusive line of knitting-themed notecards professionally printed on fine papers. Proceeds from the Knitter's Review Boutique help defray the costs of publishing Knitter's Review weekly at no cost to readers. The staff The Knitter's Review Boutique and Knitter's Review were both founded by Clara Parkes, a print and online publishing veteran who escaped the hubbub of Silicon Valley and now lives in coastal Maine. Our operations are anchored by long-time Web professional Clare Potter, who was in on those heady early days of the Web as Director of Content at Worldview Systems Corporation, a co-creator of Travelocity.com. Invaluable technical support is provided by Charlie Darling, the co-founder of Quilter's Review and chief content architect at OpenMoves.com. And finally, we must give special thanks to Emily, our postmistress extraordiniaire, without whom the Knitter's Boutique wouldn't be possible. |
