HELP !! I am knitting an afghan for my daughter there is a large stripe near the beginning that I made grey and the stripe is repeate d at the end I am 9 rows short of Coats & Clark Red Heart yarn 4ply the color is 10 Charcoal dye lot 0589 63301 I have called red heart and they said that the color was discontinued at least 7 years ago. The darkest color grey they now make is a grey heather and it is way to light. The charcoal is a black with so much silver added that it looks dark grey like charcoal brikets that have been burned. I know that It would be near impossible to match the dye lot. I was hoping that maybe some one would have a skein in there stash. Skein size was 99.2 grams (3.5 oz) 100% virgin orlon acrylic fiber. I am willing to pay a new price for a skein of this old yarn or trade something.
