Posted - 09/06/2012 : 8:09:43 PM I've decided to make a lot of hats for my hearing dog's school. They can be sold at the gift shop and, I hope, make a little money for the school.
Fun and easy to make, I get to try new COs, two color designs (tho many times I make it up as I go along), or whatever. Good test article.
What do you use for learning/testing??
Margie and Mimi (my hearing dog who doesn't knit -- yet)

Posted - 09/08/2012 : 07:07:47 AM I tend to do pot holders. I used to do dishcloths but I saturated my audience... I'm sure pot holders will get to that point, too. I suppose I could do squares for Warm Up America! next. They would take an infinite number of test swatches. I feel so much better swatching when I'm making something useful, otherwise I feel "unfrugal".
