Posted - 04/21/2006 : 2:06:00 PM I want to needle feelt everything! A couple of weeks ago I got some needles and a bit of rowing and I went at it! Got totally fascinated and love needlefelting! Sort of like woodoo doll sticking needles getting all my aggressions out.
This is so much fun! I just added a pocket to my new project that I needlefelted but I used the wool yarn leftover from the jacket. I like it so much I want to wear the sweater inside out now.
Too many projects too little time.

Posted - 09/07/2006 : 4:03:47 PM I was a a local thrift shop and there was a half finished needle point project. It was a really reasonable price and I've always wanted to needle point but it seemed expensive and to learn one more craft but I thought this was too beautiful and maybe I'll learn this time. Well one day I was needle felting one of my wool projects and I happen to run across this needle point stuff. I thought well let me see maybe it will needle felt.
Sure enough, it works like magic! Instead of a very serene quiet lady like project, I was jabbing it with gusto. Getting all my frustrations out! The canvas accepts the wool very nicely and this just tells me that you can needle felt practically any material. When my DH walked by me he just shook his head. There I was just stabbing and jabbing ........ and having a great time.
Now I don't have to learn needle point I can needle felt!
Happy Knitting,
ana

Posted - 08/28/2006 : 3:20:29 PM I picked up a book called Felted Treasures a couple months ago (which came with 1 needle) and have been hooked ever since. I have requests from folks for all sorts of cute felted figures now too lol.

Posted - 04/23/2006 : 04:20:11 AM I've been teaching needle felting for a few years now and it's amazing what it does to people. I've taught groups involving kids and older women and it's the great leveler. They all get into it so much. I recently decided to move on from animals, flowers, fetish dolls, and do a realistic sculpture. It turned out to be my brother, the doctor! What starts as one thing often turns out to be another in my experience.--Debbie

Posted - 04/21/2006 : 2:18:58 PM I'm telling you, felting is one of THE big addictions of life. All those little stabbing motions and you get something positive out of it![:00]
