I am looking for "In the Hebrides" by Alice Starmore. Of course, any of you out there that know of Alice Starmore know that some of her books are hard to come across. This particular book sells for over $200. Of course, I need to find it for less; most I could pay would be $125 or less. Anyone maybe know a yarn shop going out of business that may have some old knitting book stock? I know this is so much more than wishful thinking on my part, but this book is oh so much on my knitting wish list!

I just searched it on and came back with some reasonable prices. Here is a link to my results but you might have to search again.

My blog is not strictly knitting, but there are occasional WIP updates and frustration or bragging rants as I am a new knitter.

I love Alice Starmore also. It's a shame that we have to scour the earth for her books. A friend was so kind to send me three of her books via UPS on loan (her idea). I've been trying to return them to her but now we are both fearful of losing them in transit. I guess a visit is in order. Good luck and I'll be watching to see what you find.
