Posted - 11/07/2008 : 06:07:50 AM Check this out: http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77 It's a Munsell hue test, and it's pretty tough. I got a 3, but it definitely strained my eyes. My slips were in the pink range, which I think is pretty funny since I am no fan of pink.

Posted - 01/15/2009 : 08:45:39 AM I bookmarked the site because I'm having cataract surgery in a few weeks. I've heard that colors are more vibrant after surgery. Wonder if that'll be an improvement or not?? |

Posted - 01/13/2009 : 10:05:30 AM I got a 7 which I guess is pretty good as my age group went from 0-1432. I'm blaming the monitor. But how do you tell where your problems were? Unless mine were all across the board? |

Posted - 01/08/2009 : 08:11:37 AM I got 29...I found it tough to tell the difference in the middle ranges. And do I work with color in my business? Yep-I dye yarn for Scarlet Fleece. Maybe that is why I have several vibrant colorways-so I don't have to work with colors with very close contrasts.

Posted - 01/02/2009 : 9:59:21 PM 48, but I think it's pretty good for being 50, taking the test at midnight, and after having suffered MS-related optic neuritis in each eye, with related vision and color perception loss. Can I blame the floaters as well?
I am determined to think positive! (And to blame it on the light...)

Posted - 11/22/2008 : 9:01:24 PM Holy crappola- I got a 0! But then I have been dealing with colour my whole life
In colour, one has to talk not only to hue- but intensity and value- and they are indeed, different.
Fun challenge! KL |

Posted - 11/14/2008 : 01:16:30 AM Did anyone take it twice? I just got a 0 and I can't tell you why. It looked exactly the same of the other one. So much for being able to learn from your mistakes. *shrugs* HA!

Interesting that my weak area was blue/green!
Now I know why I love to play with dye.

Posted - 11/12/2008 : 2:59:52 PM I scored a 7. The blue/green hues were the ones that confounded me. Odd really, besides being a fiber fiend I paint as well. The colour range I favor in my paintings? Blue/green! Great fun though. Thanks for posting the link.

Posted - 11/09/2008 : 6:02:15 PM I loved doing this. Yellow/greens were the weak ones, and my score was a 4. Thanks for the fun, Lanea :)

Posted - 11/09/2008 : 3:42:20 PM I can remember trying this a while ago when it was quite a sunny day. My score wasn't too good that day. When I saw the link here a day or two ago, I tried again. The weather was rather cloudy which meant the colours on my monitor were a lot easier to distinguish. My score? 0! I was rather chuffed!
