I just received an email about a 2-DVD set by Maggie Casey:

I liked her "Start Spinning book" but I think that spinning might be one of these things that need to see in motion to understand so I'm looking forward to getting it!

Yes, I agree: Normally I'm an absolute book person, but for spinning I bought most of the videos on the market - a film really says more than a thousand words on this subject. Thanks a lot, minh, for bringing Maggie's to our attention - looks like I need to add one to my library...

Maggie is a really wonderful teacher.I've taken several classes from her, and am scheduled for two more at SOAR this year. She's awesome. I haven't seen her videos, but knowing what she's like in person I can only imagine they'll be great. Look forward to hearing what you think, too.

When I was learning to spin, I purchased Patsy Zawistoski's videos to work with. They were great, too ~ and yes, I do absolutely agree that actually seeing how to do something can be very beneficial when learning to spin.

Good Luck!

Jennifer

I just got the email too about the DVD and agree about seeing spinning in action is a lot easier than trying to spin from words alone. Would love to know your opinion after you've viewed it.
