Posted - 04/04/2008 : 11:59:29 AM Got loads of Depression glass from the Jeannette company that we inherited and added to from time to time. I started my son on lighthouses, DD on angels, DH on gargoyles and I'm always on the hunt for Scooby Doo stuff, anything related to my home state of Texas, Irish items and tulips, my favorite flower.
Crazy enough, my latest passion is bookmarks. I love bookmarks with quotes, pictures on them. I don't know why. DH thinks I'm crazy.

Posted - 12/16/2007 : 12:59:22 PM Yelena, I too collect buttons, because before my current knitting ...shall we say obsession...I had a sewing obsession and still sew about 90% of what I wear. I have mine organized by color too and they are in Ball jars (what we make homemade jelly and preserves in)I love the jack=in-the-box clock in your collection! Very unusual! As I contemplate the number of things I DO collect it's a little mind boggling: SnowBabies Santas Sterling Silver Christmas ornaments shoes :-) Earrings Pins Harlequin pattern dishes by Homer Laughlin Wheat pattern dishes by Franciscan Fabric yarn....duh! I will try to find time to take some pics and post!
Thanks for sharing!

Posted - 12/16/2007 : 12:10:02 PM Art pottery, including Ohio pottery, and postage stamps. That's what I officcially collect. Everything else (yarn, magazines, books is just an accumulation. I also have a small collection of needlework.
At one point, I was collecting tacky shot glasses obtained from airport gift shops. Unfortunately, "giveing Anne a tacky shot glass" became a major sport for our friends, and the shot glasses started taking over the kitchen. They have been exiled to the basement and replaced with tacky refrigerator magnets for tourists.

Been racking my head lately on how to keep them properly. It should be hung properly instead of throwing into jewellery boxes. Sigh...

Posted - 09/15/2007 : 6:57:02 PM We collect Ohio pottery (Ohio was HUGE in the 1800's forward for pottery) and salt cellars. The pottery takes up quite a bit of room, but we sell some pieces to buy better one once in a while, and the salt cellars are only about an inch or so big. Of course, I DO have about 200+ salt cellars...But they are in a small lighted cabinet by my front door.

Posted - 09/15/2007 : 6:25:09 PM I seem to have collected a large number of needlework magazines, and cookbooks, without really planning to. I always think that someday I would like to collect pitchers and teapots, pottery and other types. I enjoy looking at all your collections. Warmly, Chayah
