I love to attend knitting classes but most of the stores near me offer mostly beginner/intermediate classes when I'd really like to take classes on more advanced topics. I do sign up for classes whenever available but I'm also looking at other sources.

I know of online knitting classes by
- Annie Modesitt: http://www.knittingheretic.com/
- Stephanie Japel: http://stefaniejapel.ning.com/page/available-classes
Of course one can also get the DVDs by Lucy Neatby or DVDs by Interweave.

Are there online knitting classes that you know and would recommend? Do you know of another source of knitting classes?

Some public libraries have access to Universal Classes. They have an online knitting class. But I suspect it's just for beginners. Here is a link to my library. I hope it works.

Hi Minh

I tried to take Annie Modesitt's combo knitting class a while back and didn't finish it. Annie's delivery is a little wordy and dry for my taste and just didn't hold my interest. Her handouts were great, though.

Hi, Minh. I don't have any recommendations but I looked at the two websites you recommended. I have to say that I was annoyed at the Stephanie Japel site... they ask a million questions before you can sign up and then they have to "approve" you. Whassup with that? It shouldn't be so hard to just look at the website. Am I missing something?

I hope others will post more class sources for you and for the rest of us as well. I hadn't even thought about online class - great idea.
