Visit my Ravelry page if you can to see the Autoharp Wine Bottle Cover and read the story (esp. the sad ending).

I need to make another one of these, but this time, I need to make it look more regal. So I thought I would repeat the black edging on the cape, and then needle-felt white Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted yarn (or even comb the yarn back to fiber) so that it looks like dalmation or chinchilla whatever it is thatís used thatís mostly white with some black. However,...

While I understand that light, clear colors donít felt (well?) in the washer, would needle-felting be more successful? Or, is there a particular color of LPW thatís close to white that WILL felt? (Does anyone know about light colors in this yarn that felt okay?)

Ceil: I have successfully felted ivory Cascade 220 and ivory BSLPW with nary a problem. Used a top-loading washer, hot water, pillow cover for protection, old jeans for agitation. I can't speak to making it look more like a chinchilla, but they certainly did felt. The only ones I would steer clear of would be the bleached bright optic white. HTH.
