Hey gang, one of my best friends is a photographer, and also pregnant. She's asked me to make this http://sweetlovecreates.bigcartel.com/product/original-design-caterpillar-set for her new baby, as well as to have for a prop. I have no doubt I can reverse engineer it, but I need yarn advice! We don't want to break the bank, and it's pretty chunky. The color is the main thing we want to duplicate, but it doesn't have to be identical. Any ideas? Throw them at me!

Plymouth Encore would be a suggestion... the worsted comes in an unending selection of colors and it comes in a bulky/chunky weight too. I find Encore to be very soft as well as machine washable and dryable.

Lion Brand Wool Ease. Lots of colors and good price. It is machine washable and throw in the dryer.
If you have a JoAnne coupon you can get very cheap otherwise
even at reg price it will not break the bank. You might luck out
and find it on sale, but definitely Lion Brand Wool Ease. Good luck.
