I think rings in general have become obsolete. I kept ours going for a while, but as RRS feed readers took off, it was harder and harder to keep rings from breaking as folks either removed their ring code or changed blogging habits.

It doesn't appear to. The link on my blog doesn't appear to go anywhere, neither does the one in the original thread from 2005 (sorry, I deleted it before linking to it - I found it by googling Knitters Review webring).
