Posted - 02/14/2012 : 1:59:03 PM I have some natural fiber yarns that have not worked for me for a particular project, so I use them in the garden to tie up vines, etc.
Since natural, if they decay or a bird picks off a section for a nest, I think it's OK for the environment. |

Posted - 02/15/2012 : 05:09:07 AM I am relatively new to weaving, and I use a rigid heddle loom. I will NEVER again use mohair to weave. I learned the hard way...ended up with a huge, knotted ball of unsalvageable turquoise fluff! |

Posted - 02/14/2012 : 7:07:44 PM Me too, re: the birds. Also through out bits of fluff from spinning. Makes me feel like I'm "helping".
Never thought of the garden use though, I like that. Thanks, greyling.
