Posted - 04/13/2012 : 05:28:41 AM Not sure if this is the correct forum; but I want to share what happenned with a recent pattern over on my Yahoo! group (MMarioKKnits)
As many of you know it is used as a test site where I post my flights of fancy and various knitters work through the patterns and turn them into completed objects.
At the beginning of March a very "Japanese" feeling design took shape in my mind - and I posted it on March 11 as a commemoration of the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster in Japan 3/11/11.
The VERY first completed knit of 'Sakura' was done by Aya in Japan. She did a marvelous job - the knitting is beautiful; English is NOT her first language and it was an untried pattern. She has posted the photos on her site at Ravelery (sear for 'Sakura' or for weib-aya)and I am so thrilled at the way this has worked out.
I was very active here before I got my own site, and in many ways KR still feels like "home" - I just has to share.

So nice to "hear" from you on occasion. Just joined your Yahoo group.

Posted - 04/13/2012 : 09:13:38 AM That's beautiful, MMario. The shapes knitted into the lace really look like cherry blossoms and branches, which I've never seen in knitted lace before. Just gorgeous. I favorited it.
