I just bought A Flattering Fit by Amy Herzog, and Deborah Newton's new book Finishing School.

I have Clara's review of Amy's book and I love anything by Deborah, but I would like very much to know what some of you all think about the books. (Of course I've already purchased them, but still, should I send them back?)

I am a good knitter, but have now become a sized 2X petite, and sweaters seem to me such a challenge, I haven't knit one for years, and I want to try!

Plus I am a great believer in Deborah's "finish before starting" practices !

So, whaddya think?

Life is beautiful.

Don't send the books back unless you want to. If you are happy with them, then keep them.

If you look on Ravelry ,you'll see the Knit to Flatter forum is the only one where the sweaters fit properly ..........I rest my case !!!lol

Amy is a genius, Anna, and you know I'm a big fan. Her class at the KR Retreat was amazing, and has changed not only how I think about knitting to fit but also about every item in my closet! I can't go shopping now without hearing her voice as I evaluate the cut and ease of every piece I pick up.

Finishing School is on my list - please let us know your thoughts!

Knit and let knit!

Amy Herzog's methods for picking a flattering design for your body type and altering a pattern to fit you well are fantastic--I think it's a great book. I've taken the workshop associated with the book you ordered, and it's one of the most helpful classes I've ever taken.
