I love sharing information with fellow knitters, crocheters and multi-crafters. Could never do without the internet, because the friends are always there (no matter how far). I taught myself to knit when I was around 15 and to crochet soon thereafter. (many years ago). Been sewing since I could hold a needle. That is my main craft, but I love knitting as much so it's a toss-up. I have two grown sons, two daughters-in-law, one husband and one dog. I make things for all of them, and they don't hesitate to ask. One of my DIL's asked if I could make here a Christmas Quilt. I had never made a quilt before, so gave it a try, and guess what happed?? Now I am adicted to quilt-making also. There's no cure. I would love to hear from some other Californians who are in the same boat. I live in L.A. County,

Thanks for reading

Hi Beverly--Welcome to KR, from Northern California (who's also an LA kid). Yeah, textiles, so addicting, no cure. I just started quilting too, and am having trouble figuring out what to focus on next, there is so much fun stuff to do!

Welcome to the forums from Maine! I have always wanted to give quilting a try, but just don't have the room. Knitting is my passion. Hope you enjoy the forums!

Hi Beverly - I am moving out your way from upstate NY and I'm so happy to see there are many knitters out your way.
