Hi Sat101, and welcome to KR fro the great state of La (Louisiana).
Please relax, and enjoy yourself. If there is ever a question, or problem, there is always someone around with an answer or solution.

I lived in Glasgow in the late '50's and early '60's ! My wool shop was the local "Beehive Wools".
I remember of course Shetland jumper weight, Munrospun, Beehive, and others.
I knitted a gorgeous twinset in soft pink Munrospun and wore it out!

My husband's people were from Govan, and we still have a few family there.
I love Glasgow! And how it has changed!
I went to the University for a year, then finished my degree here in the US. I live in Baltimore now.

I too learned to knit from my grandma, very long ago, and it is so nice to meet you!

I hope you will like the KR Forums as much as many of us do. Full of inspiration, friendship, support, knitting expertise, whatever!

Give the trams a hug from me....

Best wishes,

Life is beautiful.

Welcome to the forums, from Maine. I, too, use knitting to keep me sane. Would love to hear more about the Glasgow School of yarn. Sounds fascinating!
