I am a 56 year-old mom of two, grandmother of one, full time grad student, returner to knitting in the past year. Whew. I am studying healthcare policy and advocacy and am very interested in the use of knitting in pain management. I live in the NY area so if anyone out there is aware of knitting programs for pain sufferers or knitting programs in pain clinics, I would love to hear about them!

Cheers.

Hi, Sparkleknitter. I like your handle. Wow! You are one busy lady! Some of the women here have used knitting to help their hands/wrists recover post-surgically, but I don't remember any details. Perhaps they will pipe up! Hope to see more posts from you, and welcome to KR.
