Hi,

I've just finished knitting a woman's jumper (King Cole 2999) in 100% Merino wool and am wondering whether this pattern would be OK to steam block?

I realise the wool would be OK but I'm wondering about the pattern - it has regular horizontal twisted stitches/mock cable.

I'm thinking of blocking to help flatten out the rolled edges before I sew so perhaps I could merely steam the edges and not the whole thing?

thanks for any help!

You should be okay with steaming; however I would insert blocking wires before you block.

Thank you Ceil.

Should I block and steam on the front or back of the knitting - or both? thanks
