My name is Linda and I've only just started knitting (about 3 months ago) but am absolutely hooked. I live in Victorville, California. There's only one LYS in a 50-mile radius which is a shame and they don't do any free knit-a-longs. There is a Michael's, a Hobby Lobby, a Jo-Ann's and Walmart, so there is yarn I can touch and see in person, but it's not the same as a store that specializes in needle arts.

I was delighted this weekend to meet up with a local knitting club at the County Fair and hope to spend time getting to know those guys and gals. I also had the treat of watching three talented ladies spinning yarn also. I really enjoyed meeting all of them and seeing their talents on display.

Knitting is so soothing and relaxing and when I'm not knitting, I'm thinking about knitting. Does that mean I'm obsessed????? If so, I hope I'm never cured!

Greetings, Linda! I'm a member of 2 knitting groups! I'm obsessed & I don't want to be cured either! Welcome to the KF!

Ah, Linda, welcome to the obsession. I agree, I hope I'm never cured too. How cool you were able to meet up with like-minded folks at the fair. For me, being able to practice and talk about my glorious obsession with others is a huge part of the fun.

Welcome to the dark side!
