I've been working on Noni's NIght Garden Evening Bag for many moons now, and I'm finally to the point of sewing everything together & sewing on the seed beads. I have two questions:

1) The instructions say to use nylon beading thread to sew on the beads, but I'm not sure what this is. None of the stuff in the beading sections of Jo-Ann or Michael's looks quite right. Any thoughts on what's sufficiently strong/not too wiry/comes in matching colors?

2) In all my years of sewing, I've never before sewn beads onto felt, and I'm not too clear on the technique. I consulted Jane Davis's Knitting with Beads book, but it just gives the direction of sewing rather than being specific about the stitches. Can anyone recommend a good source for learning this technique?

Thanks much!
