Hi from the Pgh area. Just joined and I am enjoying reading so any of your posts. We seem to cover many different areas of the country. I have been knitting for many years but really started to explore more of the knitting world after retirement. Now the stash threatens to out live me #128527;.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Right now I have a shawl, socks and scarf on needles. I have started knitting with beads and enjoy the results. Not much I haven't tried except a skirt or dress. I have been retired for 7 years so have lots of knitting time.

Hi Carol, welcome to KR and congratulations on your retirement, recent or not. Funny how having more time available means not only more time to knit, but more time to accumulate stash!

Hi Carol, and welcome to the KR Forums from Baltimore !
A lot of us have stashes that will outlast us....."she who dies with tho biggest stash wins" is one of our enabler cries.
I'd love to know what you are working on now....do you like scarves, shawls, lace, sweaters, socks? I'm just getting going on my second sock of a pair. Some folks just hate having to do that second sock---I don't seem to mind, though.
We are all so glad to have you as a new member!
Life is beautiful.
