Posted - 04/22/2009 : 08:47:17 AM Can anyone tell me about drum carders? I hope to purchase one soon. I have heard the Pat Green deluxe is a well built versatile carder, also the Strauch. I will be spinning a range of fibers, and I own 2 Pygora goats with fine soft fleeces....any thoughts? I am leaning towards the Pat Green style, but need more information. Thanks! |

Posted - 04/25/2009 : 12:41:37 PM I suppose you've seen this thread: http://www.knittersreview.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=50545 ? I can only tell you that if you are only doing very fine fibres you probably doen't want a Louet - definitely not the ones with coarse cloth and the Junior (or a full-size fine cloth one) is probably not ideal either. But then, I've never seen either a Pat Green or a Strauch...
Good luck! Klara
