Posted - 12/03/2009 : 09:14:35 AM I know folks felt wool roving around a bar of soap but I found this pattern and have a few questions. http://pickinandthrowin.blogspot.com/2006/12/great-last-minute-gift.html
This one is knit and bar of soap placed in it. The premise being that as you use it the article gets agitated and will felt around the soap and continue to embrace it as both shrink with use. 1. Think the wool will shed? 2. Think the wool will smell?
If this really works what a great idea for last minute gifts. I plan to give some to the campers in my family...two gifts in one and no wasted soap or soap "goo" on the trip! And what a great way to use up leftover yarn.
any comments or suggestions
Now, I may just have to whip up a batch of some great smelling bars :)
