Hi everyone. I have added more pictures to my photobucket album. Among them are more pictures of teh yarn I dyed, and pictures of my yarn inspired home decor.

Great idea Celia but my little one would have a ball trying to pull out all those balls of wool to test for softness.

<grin> All these are up high where little fingers can;t reach (i.e. on top of my fridge and on the top shelf of my book case.
However, I can;t take credit for my bf's brilliant ideas. I left him alone with the cones of rayon and that's what he came up with. The basket was part of my birthday hamper from his family. I took out the contents and filled it with miscellaneous acrylic that I wouldn't mid getting dusty.

What a neat idea--decorating with yarn--why not? My favorite LYS is decorated with yarn, why not my apartment. Of course, I have enough to decorate a small third-world country!
I loved the pics.

I make and sell (well, sell in theory...) large ceramic bowls with many cutouts on the sides, in which to display yarn. The cutouts let you see the lovely yarn all over, and not just from the top of the bowl.

WOW, Lissa! My bf and I have been talking about taking pottery classes for ages.. well..we've gotten as far as talking about it ;) That's a great idea, having cut-outs at the side. Maybe you should sell them, and not just in theory.

I should have said that I *attempt* to sell them. I've made two (a blue glaze and a green one), but at $50 apiece (they're a LOT of work..), haven't had any takers...

Just wanted to say that I have added more photos.
Just socks, but these were the ones for which I was asking for advice. They are the first pair of socks I have knit for my bf. They were a perfect fit. I tried a k2p1 rib and a k1p1 rib (yeah, the two socks are not identical.. but oh well.. ). He refered the k1p1 rib. He even wore those socks home last night! I am SO pleased.
The yarn was DGB Confetti. I used nearly 1 ball for each sock. they were apleasure to knit. I had about 8 st/inch on 2.75mm needles. 1 pic here.. the rest in my photobucket album celia

Hi celia,
Loved all your projects and what a great idea it was to use yarn as decor! Why not eh? Yarn comes in fabulous colours and it looks lovely!
