I tried out the needle felting kit from Beary Cheap Bear Supplies http://www.bearycheap.com/ezimerchant/prod1579.htm last night and it was great fun. It's very easy to get good results (but time consuming!). Check out the pictures on my blog. http://wovenflame.blogspot.com/2004/09/felted-bear.html

It's really really cute. I didn't realize it was so tiny until I scrolled down. But didn't it bother you to be stabbing the poor bear's head again and again with a needle???

The little bear doesn't "come to life" until you get the eyes in....and that is AFTER you have done all the head stabbing.

Another new bear to share. This one is VERY different than the first and I think its a lot cuter. This little 2 3/4" bear is wearing a teeny sweater. Come check him out. http://wovenflame.blogspot.com/2004/09/new-bear.html

Hi, Kristy, I couldn't find your bears, are they on your blog? The Christmas tree hat is adorable, is it possible to get the pattern?
Thanks, happy knitting, Chayah

Hi Chayah. I hope Kristy doesn't mind, but I know she doesn't have much time to come here, (I am her mom) so I thought I would answer your questions.

This is the link to the felted bears on her blog: http://busternme.blogspot.com/2004_09_01_busternme_archive.html

And I know she found the pattern for the Christmas tree hat free somewhere on the internet. I'll see if I can find it for you.

That was easier than I expected!

http://www.p2designs.com/images/patterns/set-xmas.html

Just a warning. Kristy found that she could not make the hat and the socks with the same yarn. The gauge was way too different in the two patterns.

these little bears are very cute
( so is buster the hamster, now I am thinking I need to get a hamster it has been about 30 years since I've had one)
I been making mini bears for the doll house, I don't have eyes in them yet so I didn't take their pictures
but I really like needlefelting.
and between me and a friend of mine, we got a lot of our spin group hooked on it
vi

none of this will matter in 100 years.......except I will finally be at my goal weight...vi
