Guess what! I started my first sock! Yeah! Okay- I'm doing a tube sock because the whole gussit, turn heel thing intimidates me. But I don't care- I'm making a sock and I will wear it! I'm so happy, just thought I'd share...

Have fun making the sock. Tube socks are a great start. But the heel thing is not so bad and when you are ready, just dive right in and do it. Hope to see your sock at the next Michael's meeting.

Congrats on your sock! Socks are my favorite. I did take a class to learn though. That made the whole gussett, heel issue much easier to swallow. You might try that. Have fun!!!!

Thank you all for your sweet encouragement! Eileen- I will definitely bring my socks to Michael's!!! BTW- Stitches East trip is on. Let me know if you want to carpool. The instructor has a minivan and is willing to drive.
