Emailing from the forum doesn't seem to work. See the posts started by Lavender under Yarn and Needle Stash reductions.
Anyway we could make emailing a forum member easier?
I have had others tell me that they tried to email me from the forum and can't- so went to my web site instead to email me from that link.

i've never had a problem emailing from the forum. The only time it is impossible is when the email is hidden at the members request.

Hi Lisa,

I just tested this, and it looks like Yahoo is having problems. My email to you got bounced back with the following error message:

64.157.4.82 failed after I sent the message.
Remote host said: 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account

You're still using Yahoo, yes? If not, email me privately with your new address and I'll update the system.

Hmmm... It could very well be Yahoo itself. Many people have subscribed to forum topics with a Yahoo email address and they get bounced back to me. But normally the message says something like:

"Connected to 64.157.4.89 but my name was rejected.
Remote host said: 421 VS3-IP Excessive unknown recipients - possible Open Relay http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/spam/spam-18.html (#4.1.8)"

Now you and I both know that KR certainly isn't spam, but Yahoo isn't so sure. I've tried to resolve this directly, but as you can imagine, we're just a teensy tadpole in an enormous lake. You can also email Yahoo (as a subscriber you may have greater clout) to request that emails from Knitter's Review not be blocked.

Sigh... But then again, we're all so sick of true spam that I can't criticize Yahoo's efforts. I just wish they didn't end up blocking KR too.
