I just ordered a diaper bag from Land's End that looks super for a knitting bag. It stays open like a doctor bag and has lots of pockets. It's called the "do-it-all" bag and it is $29.50. If I don't like it, I can always use it for my new grandson!

That sounds perfect. Others have mentioned that diaper bags make great knitting bags. I hope it works out for you.

I actually have that diaper bag (Do it all) for dd and never use it. The straps are too short. It does open wide and that is nice. I have the Little Tripper that I love.
