Can you please help me solve a minor mystery?

I'm trying to remember the name of a large yarn shop I visited when I was in London in the early 90's. I think I read in another thread that other than the large department stores like John Lewis or Liberty, London no longer has any knitting shops.

This place was large and well stocked but rather plain (ie not a charming little shop, if you get my meaning). I was staying in the Bayswater Road area and had to take the tube to get to it. I don't remember there being any other tourist type destinations by it-that was the only thing I went to in that area. I also don't think it was too long of a tube ride to get to it.
