How about throwing an online Pity Party for those of us who aren't going to MD Sheep and Wool?
We could have contests to see who could destash the most skeins while our buddies are gone to picnic! Or we could organize our stashes. We could have a prize for the most wips completed while they are gone.
The prize could be you get to lord it over the ones who got to go! Tee, hee.
This is all "tongue in cheek", of course. I am really and truly happy for those who get to go, and I want to hear everything when they get back.

One of my friends is going, and I'm so jealous. Unfortunately, I have to work. Yuck!

I am up for a pity party. And, I plan to spin all weekend...I will woo you all with my fiber report. (Does the one with the most miles done get a prize?)
I went to Maryland YEARS ago and it was so hot I had to slepp in the shade to recover from the 7 hour car trip. Never again as I don't do heat and humidity and the weather can be VERY changeable at the last minute.

Hey vi, I am not sure if you can come to the pity party if you are getting to go to MD... Well, you did sound kinda' pitiful..ok with me if you come. Unless you were just rubbing it in!
Country wool, the one with the most miles spun should get a prize. What do you want for your prize? How about our undying love and support?

I'm completely up for a pity party. I'll do the long distance party from IL. My mom is in town this weekend, so the spinning and knitting will be few and far between. I can't wait to show my mom my new wheel. She spun back in the late 60s and early 70s with a drop spindle for her weaving. Her wheel was a spindle wheel and she said she could never get the hang of it, my dad could though. I think she'll be pleasantly surprised with my wheel. My goal is to get her back into spinning and weaving so when she retires in several years she'll have plenty to do.

I can't get my wheel......sniff
I am very pitiful
I can't buy anything unless it is a lamb
no fiber
no yarn
and I don't get to stay like everyone else....

I have to rush home
and the only thing we will have in the van going home is a sheep pen for KRISTIAN......
I can't BUY any toys

I'm so in this pity party. I've been lobbying DH in hopes he'll relent. I already have to drive part way there for a bridal shower on Saturday...what's 4 hours more in the car??? I think he's afraid of livestock coming home *grin*.
