Has anyone bought one of these? If, so, how do you like it? I thought it would be wonderful for charkha spun cotton, as currently, I am winding my singles onto PVC pipe insulation.

What is it? Obviously I don't have one. Do you have a link to one or can you give us more information?
By the way, I love all these new catagories in Spinners Central! |

I'm afraid it would make my hate plying twice as much. I love the idea though--once I get over this hump I'll try to rig one up and see how I like it.

Amie, yes, I agree your way is much more economical!! I was thinking mostly about the portablility factor, but I guess when you aren't using the basket part, you can load it up with stuff you have to carry anyhow (like fiber -heehee).

| I like these! I especially like the Golding ones but I'm not sure any of them are worth the price. Seems like it would be pretty easy to make something like that too. |

I have a plank of wood with three dowel pins in it. It is not tensioned but I have found that when I flip it over onto its side the carpet provides enough friction to keep the bobbins from back lashing. Each dowel rod is long enough to hold two bobbins. The dowels can be pulled out and the whole rig packs in my pack basket along with my seat and everything else I need to spin except the wheel. Total cost about $2.00 for dowel rod.
