I would really like a diz and there are no spinning stores near me. Is there a simple way to make a fairly nice diz? What size do you make the hole or do you make a few holes of different sizes? I'm assuming you need to have that dish shape?
Thanks for any ideas you all have. |

I've seen some very nice mother of pearl diz's....dizzes......uh, I've seen more than one diz made of sea shells!
I don't see why you couldn't make one yourself if you have a small drill like a dremel tool and a small file to smooth the inner edges.

| I wouldn't consider this a fairly nice one - not really nice to look at at all, but I saw someone using a diz she made by punching a hole in a plastic cap from a milk jug. If you need something quick, this may work til you decide on how to make a nice one. |

I made a very functional,if not pretty, diz. I used my husbands drill, and made several holes of various sizes around a used cd. It works very well, and I have lots of choices for the thickness of my top. Plus, it didn't cost me a dime.
