My LYS carries ONline yarns (, made by a German yarn manufacturer. I fell in love with their Linie 43 Punta, a 45% Viscose, 45% Nylon, 10% Polyacryl yarn with dark brown main yarn with pink 'blob's strung throughout. Very beautiful. I have one skein, 50 grams/80 meters. Has anyone ever used this yarn or yarn from this manufacturer before? I was thinking of making the Spiral Scarf or a shawl, though if I make the shawl, what pattern would do this beautiful yarn justice? A shrug/bolero might also work. The less I spend on this yarn the better, as it retails at my LYS for $11.99 per skein and so a smaller yet elegant project would still be beautiful.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I LOVE Punta! It's very slippery but makes really pretty scarves (I made more than 5). I only made scarves with it - it's too expensive for any bigger projects!

I know Knitting Garden has them on sale:

Same here. I've only made garter stitch scarves with it. It's soft and silky.
