I just found several part balls of Rowan Kidsilk (not the Haze, the original Kidsilk) in a charity shop...yeah!
I`ve got about 200g, in eight different colours, mainly soft browns and beige but with some toning colours of dusky pink, green and mustard. They look good together and I think they must be leftovers from the same project. There are varying amounts of each colour, with the browns having the most.
200g works out as around 550 yards, according to the solitary ball band, but I`d be thinking 500 yards for safety. It knits as DK on 4mm needles.
Any suggestions as to what to make? I`d quite like something in a simple lace pattern, either a scarf or shawl of some sort, that would also be able to cope with it being knitted in different colours.
Links to free patterns would be appreciated, or suggestions for patterns I could buy online. We have different pattern companies here in the UK, so a USA pattern might not be so easy to obtain.
Val.
