I make my own labels using the computer and small cards that I either attach or give with my hand made garments. You can print several (or as many as 30, I suppose) on a page and then cut them and attach them with yarn to your garment. I like to use pretty colored or slightly textured paper and a colored ink to personalize my work. They look very lovely and quite professional. You might also buy business card stock from "Avery" and make them yourself on those too. Lots of luck. Be creative, it adds such a nice personal touch to your handmade crafts.
I've seen some basic sew-in garment labels ("machine wash cold", etc.) at Jo-Ann. It was in the notions department, with the appliques. It's part of the Jo-Ann Sew Essentials line of notions.
