3 days in a row with that lady visiting your store. She does sound like an extremely angry person, and I feel for the husband, he must be very tolerant of that. I hope he does stick with his knitting and maybe it will be good for some of that stress.

3 days in a row, says she is not that much against or she wouldn't come. She must just be one of those very very negative people that never has a good word to say about anything.

I feel for that family. Sometimes rage is hard to avoid if a person is frustrated. Her life may be harder than we imagine. She might even be very ill.

Hmm, 3 days in a row. Sounds to me like she's not totally against it. It could be that she doesn't know how to knit? (maybe feels inferior or intimidated by all the knit stuff?) Maybe all she's looking for is a hand to reach out to her. If she comes in again, someone in the store might ask if she'd be interested in learning to knit (or learning a new technique?) You have nothing to lose.

Something tells me that the knitting won't "turn him into a fag" but his family if they keep that up!
Yes, I am being sarcastic - I know it's genetic.

All I can say is that I'm so grateful that I have a husband who supports me 100% on anything I want to do!

| KL, pay the bills yourself. Hide the receipts. I do. . . He never knows what I spend. |

Another faboo way to skim yarn money is to take cash back when you grocery shop. Then take that cash with you to yarn store or shoe store and go wild. I would say it was dishonest but it is an unspoken agreement between me and the mister. Somehow it works for us.

I consider a lot of my yarn purchases to be household goods anyway. Yarn purchased for gifts, to make clothing, even for dish cloths is part of the household budget, not like we really have a budget though.

Oh Girls- Financially bad to the bone here. DH does all the bills, but I have my secrets! Secret credit cards that I pay myself out of a monthly stipend that I get. I do the grocery thing also, but that goes toward my Las Vegas stash. Then all the change and the singles go into a secret jar. Also for Vegas. Then when I win in Vegas, [ and I very seldom come back not being a pretty sizable winner]I NEVER reveal my winnings and that goes back into the stash. The first time I won $1500, I was so excited, I called DH from the casino. He made me promise to give it to a girlfriend to keep till I got home-I sure as hell don't do that anymore. I have my own yarn store so I don't have to be sneaky there- thank God! And the worst that I do is sneak out of bed and snatch a $20 when DH is in the shower. I'm sure he knows, but never says a word. I have a separate account that he keeps fluid for me. He never yells, just "discusses" the fact that he had to put more in my account and He is not too happy about it. Bad, Bad, Bad I am. But not too remorseful about it. KL |
