I just made my little cousin a new hat that is with a super chunky hot pink yarn mixed with fun fur. I would like to make a pair of mittens to go with it but I haven't been able to find an easy pattern for a two year old. I have never made mittens period!! If you have anything like this, please let me know!! Thank you!

http://www.kategilbert.com/ms_gifted.html I like these a lot; the thumb construction is unusual, but fun! A lot of KR members have made them. Not sure how small the small size actually is, though. |

Thanks, I appreciate it! The hat and scarf just turned out GREAT. The yarn I used though, is a bulky version, so I don't think I can use it for the knittingatnoon pattern unless I can figure it out somehow. I am still downloading the Kate Gilbert one! And looking through the first page. So many. I have to say I am psyched at how the hat turned out. I had never made hats until very recently!!

Ah-ha, if you have bulky yarn, go with Kate Gilbert's Gifted. Very straight forward and the directions are very clear.

After reading your heading I thought you had a pretty talented 2 year old that wanted to knit some mittens.
