I am blogless today, since Typepad is down once again. They have been great for so long, but for the past few months, there have been problems problems problems as they outgrew themselves a bit. So I have been posting here, and on knitlist, and on various spinning lists, but I really want my blog back!

I feel your pain. No, I feel my own pain, because I have a FO to post on my Typepad blog and this is the last time I will be able to get on the internet until Monday. Waaah!

I wonder how difficult it is to switch? What other platforms are there besides Typepad and Blogspot that would be suitable for a knitting blog? I'm really mad because my trial period just ended and I paid an annual subscription just two days ago! Now I'm reading everywhere that Typepad's been having a lot of problems. I wrote to them about a refund, since I just paid, let's see what they say.

Typepad used to be the best to deal with -- I had none of the problems other bloggers had with pictures, bandwith, etc. The problems developed this fall, when apparently, like many companies, they grew faster than their capacity. They were up front about it, announced the new equipment they were getting, announced when they put it in, announced.... I think this has been going on since October. I have liked their service, so I really hope they get this straightened out. They are back up, by the way.

I hope they manage to stay on track. Some pictures on blogs are still not available (they say they will be back over the weekend).
