the driver decided my address was wrong! ( it is the correct address) they can not reach the driver.... ( he put that into the computer thingie) I am waiting for someone to call me back 'within the hour' they have 9 minutes
I don't have the terminal's number and in 9 minutes I am going to be calling THEM back.
last month ups decided I lived 1 mile up the hill..... and refused to pick up the package they delivered up there.....I had to go and get it. this one I can't carry. ( I am only up to about 12 pounds or so and it weights about 18 or so)
now they have 7 minutes to call
I stopped using UPS as my shipper for the business as I had a LOT of trouble with them and a lot of situations like this... now I use the USPS it is easier and normally cheaper and I can still track the package.
vi
what a day

I remember one Christmas when we were waiting on a package and we saw the UPS truck drive past our place, we got in the car and followed him. We stopped him and got our package right then and there. I'll be checking back to see what's happening <gosh, it's haard to tzype with my finggers crxossed> |

I'm dropping stitches on the socks I'm knitting in the hopes that it appeases the fiber gods enough to get your wheel to you tonight!!!!!!!!

Vi it's 9:40, hope the wheel finds its way to you! I used to have trouble with UPS too. I lived on a common street name, only it was "Terrace" The same name was also a "Road" and a "Drive", as well as similar names using "Terrace". My packages were frequently delivered to the wrong address when we first moved in. Mail was mixed up as well, especially when we stopped it for vacation.
Crossing fingers, toes and eyes for you. Luckily I can knit without looking!

I was told to call back at 7am this morning I have called twice and both times the automatic system told me to call back as they were too busy.... the website says they are trying to get directions to this address that they apparently have LOST they delivered to me last month and I gave them twice last night
this thing gets here it will be a miracle
I am beyond discussed with ups at least if they all told me the same thing and it was RIGHT I would be like 'ok, i know where I stand'
but everyone had a different story and they were all wrong
vi~wheel-less in the poconos

I`ve just had a three hour war this morning with DHS, one of our big courier companies. According to the online tracking process, my son`s Lego set (present from Garnny at Christmas) has been in the sorting office on the other side of Edinburgh since Monday, marked "for query". I eventually found a human being at the other end of the automatic system this morning and insisted on my staying on the telephone with her while she sorted it out...not popular. ONE HOUR later (well, I can wash dishes while on the phone, she gets paid by the hour..., hehe) she found my parcel and had let me speak personally to the man who was going to carry it to the truck. The parcel arrived twenty minutes ago, which given that the office is fifteen minutes drive away and they`ve had it since Monday??????
Well, at least I have it now.
If you get onto the automatic system, Vi, don`t hang up, however long it takes. Forget the website, because they only have a limited number of excuse options. Get a human being, get his/her direct line number and name, make a total PIB of yourself and clog up their system good and proper until they move.
(And failing that, is it possible to go and collect the wheel from the depot yourself? I could have, under "special arrangement", but I think they didn`t really want me turning up there two days before Chistmas with a militant gleam in my eye. )

if it goes to the moron neighbors we can all kiss this poor little wheel goodbye I have a clear view of the door made HUGE paper numbers and taped them out front I don't have cardboard large enough to make a sign that says
'YO, UPS...... deliver the wheel HERE......
and get your eyes checked.....'
and I am stewing but good
on the upside I got the fire going pretty easy today, and without kindling as bernie didn't bring any in.....
guess me being a bit 'hot' had something to do with it??? vi
and the clock ticks on..........

| Vi, I hope you get this sorted out soon! We had something delivered by UPS a couple of months ago, and UPS said the address was wrong. It turns out that the shipper had given them the correct street address, but the city name provided was actually the next town over. We had to talk to the UPS local distirbution center to sort it out. What a pain. |
