i'm new to this forum. didn't know it actually supports linking. no coding needed.

well i just developed this hobby of knitting and felting. i heard only 100% wool yarn is good for felting. true?

No, some blends are ok. I've used a wool alpaca silk blend. Wool felts and alpaca felts. I don't think silk would felt on its own but came along for the ride with the wool and alpace. To felt, it needs to be yarn that is supposed to be hand washed. Then when we machine wash it, it felts.

Just make sure you don't get wool treated with a superwash process. When in doubt, swatch.

good information. thanks metromaple! so when the label reads machine washable, then it won't felt? i guess before i buy from an online shop i better ask.

oh no , i'm just seeking information. I'm looking at other websites as well. since this one is pretty new, i might want to try it out myself first. i learned this site from eBay by the way.
